1. About Rojak
Welcome to rojak.app (the "Site" or the "Service"), operated by the Rojak Studio team ("we", "us") from Malaysia. Rojak is an AI creative tools platform. Our current offering is Rojak Studio, a web application for AI Motion Sync video generation (transferring motion from a reference video onto a character image you upload).
By opening an account, uploading content or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rojak. By using this Service you confirm that you are 18 or over. We do not knowingly accept users under 18, and if we detect an account belonging to a child, that account will be closed.
3. Credits and Payment
Video generation is metered in units called credits. New accounts receive a number of free credits. Additional credits can be purchased in fixed packs through Stripe Checkout. Prices are shown in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and may be displayed in your local currency at checkout.
Credits that have been used are not refundable. Unused credits remain in your account and do not expire, but we reserve the right, at our discretion, to close accounts that have been inactive for more than 24 months after giving prior notice.
Failed generations (where our AI provider returns an error and no video is produced) are refunded automatically to your account balance.
4. Acceptable Use
Rojak is for personal, creative and entertainment purposes. You may use it to generate video from your own content, or content you have express written permission to use. By using the Service, you agree that you will not use Rojak, directly or indirectly, to:
4.1 Individuals and consent
Generate video featuring any identifiable individual without their express written permission. This includes celebrities, influencers, public figures, friends, family members, former partners, classmates, colleagues, or any private individual.
Generate any content featuring children (anyone under 18) in any context, including but not limited to school settings, family settings or fictional scenarios.
Present AI-generated content as genuine footage of a real individual.
Impersonation: create content that impersonates a real individual in a way that could be mistaken for them.
4.2 Harm to others
Create content intended to bully, mock, embarrass, degrade, humiliate, threaten or harass any individual or group.
Depict any real individual committing a criminal act (theft, vandalism, violence, drug use and so on) where that depiction could damage their reputation or be mistaken for evidence.
Depict any real individual performing actions, making statements or expressions they did not in fact make, where that fabrication could cause reputational, professional, social or personal harm.
Stalk, dox, harass or target a specific individual identified by name, social media account, school, workplace, neighbourhood or other identifying information.
Generate revenge content following the end of a relationship, friendship or working relationship.
4.3 Sexual and intimate content
Create sexual, sexualised, partially nude, nude or intimate content involving any real individual, including but not limited to celebrities and private individuals.
Create any content combining a real individual's likeness with a sexual scenario, regardless of any claimed consent.
Create any content that sexualises a child in any form. This is an absolute, zero-tolerance prohibition and will be reported to the authorities.
4.4 Violence, weapons and depictions of crime
Depict real individuals committing violence, holding weapons or engaging in criminal activity.
Generate content that glorifies or instructs self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
Create content depicting terrorism, mass violence, hate-motivated attacks or extremist propaganda.
4.5 Politics, religion and Malaysian sensitivities
Produce political disinformation, election-related fabrications, or content designed to manipulate public opinion by falsely attributing statements or actions to politicians, candidates or public officials.
Generate content involving any political party operating in Malaysia or Southeast Asia, including but not limited to UMNO, PKR, DAP, PAS, BERSATU, AMANAH, MCA, MIC, GERAKAN, MUDA, the BN coalition, the PN coalition, the PH coalition, or any successor or splinter party. This prohibition covers depictions of party leaders, candidates and members, party flags, party symbols, party colours used in a political context, party slogans, rally footage, and any image that could be associated with a particular party or political movement. It applies during election periods AND outside them.
Generate content involving serving members of the Dewan Rakyat, Dewan Negara or any State Legislative Assembly, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, current or former Cabinet Ministers, or other public officials in their official capacity.
Malaysian royalty. Generate content involving (a) the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Raja Permaisuri Agong; (b) the Sultans, Rulers and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of all Malaysian states, including the Sultans of Johor, Selangor, Perak, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Perlis, the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, and their consorts (Sultanah, Raja Permaisuri, Tunku Ampuan); (c) Crown Princes (Tunku Mahkota, Raja Muda, Tengku Mahkota), princes, princesses, consorts and immediate royal family members; (d) royal symbols, regalia, palaces, ceremonial events, or imagery associated with the institution of royalty; (e) the Yang di-Pertua Negeri (State Governors) of Penang, Malacca, Sabah and Sarawak. This prohibition is absolute, regardless of intent, comedic framing or political context. The Sedition Act 1948 (Malaysia) and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 provide criminal penalties (fines and imprisonment) for content deemed seditious towards the Royalty.
Foreign royalty. Generate content involving the Thai Royal Family (lèse-majesté under Section 112 of the Thai Criminal Code carries 3 to 15 years' imprisonment per charge and can be applied extraterritorially), the Sultan of Brunei and the Bruneian Royal Family, the British Royal Family, the Saudi Royal Family, the Cambodian Royal Family, or any other reigning royal family. Even where the content is created in Malaysia, it can still trigger legal action in the jurisdiction of the person depicted.
Mock, depict, or refer in any way to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Allah, the Quran, or other figures, scriptures or symbols associated with Islam. The majority of Malaysians are Muslim and such content is unlawful (under various statutes including the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998) and deeply offensive.
Mock, depict or demean the principal figures, scriptures or symbols of other religions including Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism and indigenous belief systems.
Generate content that incites racial, ethnic or religious tension between communities. Malaysia's multiracial society means such content can have serious real-world consequences and is prohibited under various laws.
4.6 Platform abuse
Using content generated with free credits for commercial purposes (advertising, product endorsement, paid promotion).
Resell, rent or sub-licence access to Rojak Studio to third parties.
Use automated scripts, bots or scrapers to generate content in bulk.
Attempt to bypass credit metering, abuse the referral mechanics, create multiple accounts to exploit free credits, or otherwise disrupt the Service.
Commercial use of paid content. Content you generate using paid credits may be used for your own commercial purposes, including advertising your products and affiliate marketing. This does not give you the right to resell, rent, or sub-license access to Rojak Studio.
4.7 Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
Suspend or terminate your account immediately, without refund, at our absolute discretion, if we determine that you have breached this policy.
Remove generated content from our servers without notice.
Cooperate with law enforcement, including providing your account details (email, IP address, generation history, payment records) in response to a lawful request.
Proactively report breaches involving children, terrorism or other serious matters to the appropriate authorities.
Breaching this policy may also expose you to civil liability (defamation, invasion of privacy and so on) or criminal prosecution under the laws of Malaysia or your country of residence. Rojak is not a shield: we will identify users to law enforcement where required by law.
4.8 Reporting a breach
If you come across a Rojak-generated video that breaches this policy, particularly one targeting you personally, email hello@rojak.app with the URL of that video. See Section 6 for our takedown SLA.
5. AI generation and biometric data
To produce a Motion Sync video you upload a character image (usually a photo of a face) and a motion reference video. That image is treated as biometric data. We:
Send the image and reference video to our generation provider (fal.ai, hosted in the United States) for processing.
Store the resulting output video in our blob storage (Vercel Blob) in order to deliver it to you.
Do not use uploaded images to train any AI model.
Delete the uploaded source files once the generation completes successfully.
By uploading an image you confirm that either (a) it depicts you, or (b) you have express, recorded permission from the person depicted to create AI-generated video using their likeness.
6. Takedown and the right to be forgotten
If you find a Rojak-generated video depicting you without your permission, email hello@rojak.app with the URL of that video. We aim to remove verified non-consensual content within 48 hours of receiving a verifiable report.
You can delete your own account and all associated data (uploads, generations, credit history) from the Account page. This action cannot be undone.
7. Service availability
Rojak is still in beta. Features may break, change or be removed without notice. Generation times depend on third-party provider load. We provide the Service "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the value of the credits you purchased in the preceding 12 months.
7.5 Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Rojak Studio, its operators, our service providers and our successors, from and against any claim, damages, costs, expenses (including reasonable legal fees) or losses arising out of or in connection with (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) any content you upload or generate through the Service, (c) distribution of generated content on third-party platforms (TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp and others), (d) any claim by a third party (including a person depicted in your character image) that your use of Rojak infringes their rights, including rights of publicity, privacy, defamation, intellectual property or any other legal right.
This indemnity obligation survives termination of your Rojak account.
7.6 Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or the accuracy of generated content. AI-generated output is inherently unpredictable: faces, motion, audio and timing may not match expectations.
8. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the source images and reference videos you upload. You own the output video generated for you, subject to (a) third-party rights in any reference video you supply, and (b) the consent requirements for individuals depicted in your character image.
"Rojak", the Rojak logo and the design of the rojak.app site are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts. Bahasa Malaysia is the controlling language of this document; any translation, including this English one, is for reference only.
